The business is located in the market town of Stokesley, North Yorkshire and is a proud member of the Armstrong Richardson group, one of the oldest independent, family-run agricultural and equestrian businesses in the country.

Founded in 1925 the companies primary focus at the time was supplying animal feed to local farmers. Feed was delivered by rail to Stokesley and transported by horse and cart to the company’s historic 18th-century mill warehouse. Today, that same building has been transformed into one of the North of England’s largest equestrian stores.

In the 1970s the business expanded its offerings to include equestrian supplies, country clothing, and pet products. This expansion proved to be highly successful, and by the company’s 50th anniversary in 1975, the Stokesley High Street retail shop had become a beloved destination for pet owners across North Yorkshire. The company takes immense pride in its rich heritage, which is reflected in its long-standing relationships with customers, many of whom span three or even four generations.
