Kay's Local - London

Kay's Local is a Kosher supermarket, based in Golders Green, London. Uni-Shop initially fitted out the shop several years ago. The owner of the business decided it was time for a revamp and contacted us again to implement a new design layout for the shop.

The customer's goals were to maximise the retail sales area. Incorporate new product ranges and streamline serving customers. After meetings to discuss requirements and designing phonograms, Uni-Shop set about putting the customers vision into practice.

A new venture for the business was the creation of a pick & mix sweets area. Because that area was relatively compact, we designed coloured scoop bin units with a deluxe Yellow Slatwall backdrop to brighten the area.

Shelving also needed to be updated, allowing for multiple products to be displayed efficiently and prominently. We used Beech Slatwall Panels with Slatwall Shelving & Slatwall Fittings, which gave the whole store a fresh, clean & tidy appearance. The vibrant Slatwall Colours and contrasting Shop Fittings are really enticing to customers. Creating an eye-catching experience which is sure to increase sales.

We also designed & installed two express checkouts, in a vibrant blue colour chosen by the customer. These incorporate EPOS systems & PDQ terminals, with under-shelf till drawer. This made serving customers very efficient and really complemented the overall ambience of the store.

Finally, our Recycled Plastic Shopping Trolleys were also ordered, adding to the professional make-over of the store. Made from 100% recycled plastic, these supermarket trolleys are a modern alternative to heavy steel trolleys.

Uni-Shop have worked alongside the Jewish community in London for many years and our well renowned for their innovative retail installations. We are pleased to have had the opportunity to give the store a new make-over and wish Kay's Local success with their new store.
